Allison DeWitt

Allison DeWitt is a PhD candidate in the Department of Italian and the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society. Her dissertation focuses on the use of geography in Dante’s works, specifically focused on representations of the Islamic world. It will be accompanied by a digital map to be hosted on Columbia’s Digital Dante site. She has written and presented on the use of digital tools for research and the classroom and has worked extensively with the Center for Teaching and Learning on graduate student pedagogical development.
